For a ballerina princess!

Making something out of pieces of material or just plain old ingredients into something magnificent is what I have a passion for, whether it be cooking up a new recipe, painting an old piece of furniture, or making cute clothes.

Right now, I have a lot of friends having babies or celebrating their kid’s 1st birthday. And one is coming up very soon! So, I decided to get crafty once again and make her feel like the one year old princess she is.

To make this, I used three different color tulle (all about 6 inches wide) and I cut them 18 inches long. I think I used about 40 strips of each color, but it varies on the width of elastic you’re attaching it to. I cut a piece of elastic 18 inches long and sewed the two ends together.

Once you have that, you just grab three pieces (or more) of tulle at a time and make a knot at the top on the elastic band. You’ll have to fold the tulle in half so that the loop side is up near the elastic band. Hold the loop behind the plastic band and bring the two ends up around the front of the elastic band to put through the loop. Pull tight for your knot. Make sure all the knots look the same and keep doing this process until you have tulle all the way around!

Ever since becoming a wife, I’ve wanted to cook new things almost every night! To me, the kitchen is like a big ball pit is for a 5 year old. I just want to dive in head first not knowing where I’ll come out.

After seeing so many people pin their recipes on Pinterest, I figured I needed to start snapping my creations too, because they’re just as good!

Kevin and I LOVE pizza. We make crazy pizzas each time. We’ve made vegan pizzas, pizza with blueberry goat cheese, pizza with grapes, pizza with honey goat cheese and blue cheese (fantastic by the way), butternut squash and roasted pear pizza…The list could go on and on. I like to think our kitchen is a boutique pizza shop.I sure am lucky to have married a guy who likes to try and eat absolutely everything, because picky eaters would simply not be happy in my kitchen.

So, I finally got around to making a pizza with cauliflower crust. It’s intrigued me for a while now. I thought the process would be difficult, but with a blender in hand, everything is magically easier.

This is the night we made our butternut squash pizza with roasted pear, onions, honey goat cheese, and blue cheese topped with arugula and a nice balsamic glaze. We made a pizza out of real pizza dough and one with my cauliflower crust.

Here are pictures of both

To make the cauliflower crust:

1 head of cauliflower steamed

1 egg

1 egg white

Italian seasoning (season to your liking)

Salt and pepper (to your liking)

*I also added some crushed red pepper

Throw all of this in your blender and blend until it’s not too chunky, then put it on a cookie sheet in the shape of the pizza desired and bake for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.

After your crust is cooked, throw all of your crazy ingredients on top and bake at 450 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.

vizcarra0214 asked: Hi, Is there any way that you can find out where to get those wedges? They have a wooden platform with a ribbon around the ankle. Or perhaps a link to direct me. I went to the link you have but it's no longer working :/

which wedges? I can’t find them on the blog.
